Odyssey Wild One Gold Edition from Armaf, released in 2023, is a spicy, aromatic woody fragrance for men. Wood is what everyone notices; most also find it spicy, about half pick up herbs and citrus, and a minority mention musk and resin.

Lemon, bergamot and mint open it fresh and cool, with ginger, pepper and pink pepper adding a warm, tingling spice straight away. Lavender keeps the middle clean and aromatic, and elemi adds a lemony, resinous sparkle. The base is cedar and sandalwood, dry and creamy in turn, with vetiver bringing an earthy, smoky edge, patchouli some depth and musk a smooth, clean finish.

It is marketed as masculine and has the character of a versatile everyday scent, fresh enough for daytime and warm weather, spicy and woody enough to carry into the evening and the cooler months.
