Marine

Despite its name, Marine from Al-Jazeera Perfumes is not a sea scent. Released in 2024 and composed by Arturetto Landi, it is described as sweet, woody, resinous and amber in equal measure, which matches the four notes it is built on. It is made to be worn by anyone.

The notes are listed as one group. Amber and labdanum form the core, a warm, slightly sticky resinous sweetness with a faintly leathery, balsamic depth. Vanilla adds a softer, creamier sweetness that most people read as gourmand, and patchouli brings the woody side, earthy and dark, keeping the whole from becoming purely dessert-like. There are no citrus, floral or aquatic elements listed at all.
