Classic Oud

Classic Oud from Al-Jazeera Perfumes of Qatar is a woody scent first released in 2013 and worn by anyone. Everyone who has described it calls it woody, while a minority also find it floral and ambery.

The notes are few and listed together: agarwood, sandalwood, ambergris and orchid. Agarwood brings the dark, slightly animalic woodiness that gives the scent its name; sandalwood smooths it with a creamy, milky softness; ambergris adds a warm, salty, skin-like glow; and orchid gives a faint floral sweetness that keeps the blend from being entirely dry. It reads as a traditional, uncomplicated oud rather than a modern sweet interpretation.
