Asia

Asia is a sweet floral, with everyone who has described it finding it both gourmand and flowery, and spice, wood and amber each noticed by a minority. The Qatari house Al-Jazeera Perfumes released it in 2023, Paul Guerlain composed it, and it is worn by anyone.

Pear and black currant open it with juicy, slightly tart fruit, and pink pepper adds a brief, warm sparkle. The heart is full and creamy: tuberose, orange blossom and rose make a heady white-floral bouquet, and praline folds a nutty, caramelised sweetness into it. Sandalwood and amber close the scent with a smooth, warm wood that keeps the sugar from feeling thin.

There are no community reports yet on longevity or sillage. Tuberose with praline is a rich pairing that sits most comfortably in cooler weather and in the evening, and it should appeal to someone who likes flowers served sweet rather than fresh. It is sold as a bottle and in a 2 ml sample size.
