Milk and honey open it, soft and sweet, with the milk giving a creamy, slightly lactic texture and the honey a thicker golden warmth. Fig is the heart, and it brings both sides of the fruit: the green, leafy, slightly bitter sap and the sweet, jammy flesh. Beeswax in the base adds a waxy, honeyed, faintly animal warmth, and sandalwood gives it a creamy wooden finish that ties back to the milk at the start.
It is a comforting, edible-smelling fig rather than a crisp green one, suited to mild weather and daytime, or to anyone who likes fig fragrances and wants a warmer, sweeter version than the usual leafy style.
