Sideris

Sideris is a resinous, woody scent built around incense, myrrh and a Mediterranean herb, composed by Maria Candida Gentile for her own house in 2009 and worn by anyone. Woody and resinous are the impressions everyone shares, spice and amber follow for about two in three wearers, and green and floral are noticed by a third. Sideritis, the Greek mountain tea that gives the scent its name, brings a dry, herbal, faintly honeyed greenness. Pepper and saffron add warmth and a leathery spice. The heart is resin: incense, dry and smoky, myrrh, bitter and balsamic, and labdanum, sticky and ambery, with beeswax lending a soft, honeyed roundness.
