Oud 01 by Swiss Arabian, composed by Miroslav Petkov and released in 2021, is floral before it is anything else: everyone who describes it says floral, about two thirds add spicy, and a third mention sweetness, wood, amber or leather.
The notes come as one list. Raspberry gives a juicy, slightly jammy fruitiness at the start, and violet leaf a green, cucumber-like freshness. Cardamom and cumin bring spice, cardamom cool and aromatic, cumin warm, earthy and a little sweaty in the way that makes rose scents feel human. Turkish rose and rose form the heart, lush and slightly jammy, with lily of the valley adding a fresh, dewy edge. Oud and leather darken the base with resin and smoke, and amber warms it.
It is worn by anyone. Community data on longevity and sillage is not yet available. The rose-oud-spice structure points to cooler weather and evenings, and to someone who likes a rich, slightly animalic rose rather than a clean one.
