Shaghaf Oud Elixir from Swiss Arabian, released in 2024, is spicy, sweet and woody in equal measure, with about half of those who describe it also noting musk, flowers and amber.
Pink pepper and saffron open with a warm, sparkling, leathery spice. Sage adds a light, herbal freshness. The heart is a soft rose, rich and velvety, while praline brings a nutty, caramelised sweetness that defines the gourmand side. The base is dense and warm: agarwood gives a dry, smoky oud, vanilla a creamy sweetness, amber a golden glow and musk a smooth, skin-close finish.
As an elixir, it is a concentrated, rich composition. It is shared and can be worn by anyone, and it is best suited to autumn and winter, evenings, celebrations and special occasions.
