Shaghaf Oud Azraq by Swiss Arabian, released in 2022, is a sweet, woody oud that almost everyone describes as gourmand and woody in equal measure, with about half also noting spice, amber and leather. It is worn by anyone and is among the better-rated scents from the house.
Honey and agarwood open it together, so the first stage is thick, sweet and resinous with the smoky depth of oud underneath. The heart is cinnamon, amber and bourbon vanilla, which pushes it towards warm, spiced dessert territory while the oud keeps it from becoming merely sugary. Patchouli and leather in the base give a dry, earthy, slightly animalic finish that lasts well into the next day for some.
Most wearers call it long lasting and a minority say it is eternal; nearly three quarters report strong projection. It is voted for winter and autumn and strongly for the evening, so treat it as a cold-weather night scent and apply sparingly in close quarters.
