Tero, from Nishane in 2022, was composed by Carlos Benaïm. It is a spicy woody scent: spice is the word everyone uses, about two thirds also call it woody, and a third find it sweet, fresh or ambery.
The opening is unusual, setting salt and caramel against Sichuan pepper and black pepper, so the result is a salted-caramel sweetness with a tingling, numbing heat on top. The heart is cinnamon and patchouli, warm baking spice over damp earth. The base is oak, amber and vetiver, a dry, slightly smoky wood with a warm ambery glow and an earthy, rooty finish that keeps the sweetness in check.
Most wearers report long-lasting performance, with a good share calling it near-permanent, and the projection is strong to moderate. It is voted for winter and autumn and leans towards the evening.
