Indian Leather

Indian Leather is a dense woody oriental from Memo Paris, released in 2024 and composed by Juliette Karagueuzoglou. Everyone who describes it calls it woody, two thirds add gourmand, floral and amber, and a third find it resinous. It is worn by anyone.

Frankincense and styrax give a smoky, balsamic opening, the kind of resin that smells of church and warm wood at once. Rose and jasmine sit in the middle, adding a rich, slightly honeyed floral tone against the smoke. The base is where most of the weight is: oud and cypriol bring dark, earthy, leathery woods, patchouli adds depth, and vanilla bean softens everything with a sweet, creamy warmth that explains the gourmand votes.

No community reports on longevity or projection exist yet. Resins, oud and vanilla together point to evening and cold-weather wear, and to someone who likes rich, smoky sweetness rather than freshness.
