Saffron and rose open it together, a classic pairing in which the saffron's dry, slightly medicinal spice gives the rose a dark, velvety frame. The heart brings in leather alongside fruity notes, so a sweet, jammy edge sits against the smooth, smoky hide. The base is leather again, now on its own, which means the dry-down is dry, supple and animalic rather than sweet.
