Electric Wood

Electric Wood by Room 1015, composed by Anne-Sophie Behaghel and Amélie Bourgeois in 2015 and worn by anyone, is a dry, resinous amber-wood. Amber is what everyone picks up; about half also describe it as spicy, woody and floral.

Ambroxan and cedar open it together, the ambroxan warm, clean and slightly salty, the cedar dry and pencil-sharp, so the start is radiant and a little austere. The heart is resins and oak, which add a sweet, balsamic depth and a tannic, slightly smoky woodiness that is firmer than most perfume woods. The base is nutmeg and iris, the nutmeg a warm, dry spice, the iris a cool, powdery, faintly earthy note that softens the finish and gives the scent its floral side without any flowers in the usual sense.

It reads as a modern, minimal woody amber for everyday wear in cooler months, suited to someone who likes dry woods and resins and wants a clean, slightly electric glow rather than sweetness.
