Falcon Leather is a resinous leather fragrance from the French house Matiere Premiere, composed by Aurélien Guichard and released in 2019. Resin leads, with spicy, woody and leather sides behind it. It is worn by anyone.
Labdanum and saffron open with a sticky, balsamic warmth and a leathery spice. The heart is birch tar, which gives a smoky, tarry, campfire-like leather that is the scent's signature. In the base, agarwood, or oud, adds a dark, smoky woodiness, and benzoin a sweet, vanilla-like resin that softens the smoke.
Most wearers find it long lasting, and more than half report strong sillage. It is voted for winter and autumn and mostly for evenings. It suits cold weather and evenings, and someone who likes smoky, raw leather and resin scents rather than polished, soft or sweet fragrances.
