Summanus

Summanus, created by Christian Provenzano for Electimuss in 2020, is a spicy woody fragrance according to everyone who rates it, and about three quarters also call it floral. Half find it citrusy, and a minority sweet or ambered.

The opening is bright and peppery: bergamot and orange over black pepper, ginger and cardamom, with elemi adding a lemony, resinous sparkle. Pine brings a fresh, coniferous sharpness, and the heart turns floral with Bulgarian rose and jasmine. Beneath them cedar, sandalwood and amyris build a dry, smooth wood base, while cypriol adds an earthy, smoky edge. Tonka bean, amber and a touch of cognac give the drydown a warm, slightly boozy sweetness.

It is a shared fragrance, worn by anyone. With pine, spice and citrus over warm woods, Summanus sits comfortably in autumn and winter, and its richness points to evenings and occasions rather than casual summer wear. It should suit people who like spiced woods with a floral heart.
