It opens with elemi, mandarin orange and bergamot, giving a juicy, bright citrus lifted by a lemony, resinous sparkle. The heart is sandalwood, which brings a creamy, smooth woodiness and softens the brightness. The base is rich and ambery, as vanilla and tonka bean add a warm, almond-like sweetness and frankincense a soft, smoky incense that gives the drydown depth.
