Aqua

Aqua by the British house Quintesscent, released in 2018, is a soft woody rose with a powdery, musky finish. Everyone who describes it calls it floral; about two thirds also find it woody, and a minority notice musky, amber or citrus sides.

Bergamot gives a brief, clean citrus opening. Rose and geranium form the heart, the rose soft and slightly sweet, the geranium adding a green, minty, rosy freshness. Orris root brings a cool, powdery, cosmetic smoothness that gives the scent its polished character. Sandalwood and amberwood form a creamy, warm wood in the base, patchouli adds a little earthy depth, and musk softens the drydown so it stays close to the skin.
