Raspberry gives the opening a tart, slightly jammy fruitiness, and saffron adds a leathery, faintly metallic warmth. Rose forms the floral heart, deep rather than fresh. Agarwood sits beneath with a dark, resinous woodiness, and cypriol adds an earthy, smoky, slightly leathery edge that reinforces it. Incense brings a thread of smoke, patchouli an earthy depth, and amber a soft, resinous sweetness that rounds off the base and gives the scent its warm glow.
Oud Noir is a shared fragrance, worn by anyone. Oud, rose and amber of this kind belong to cooler months and evenings, and it should suit people who enjoy the traditional Middle Eastern oud-rose combination with a touch of fruit to lighten it.
