Patchouli Dust

Patchouli Dust, released by Pana Dora in 2023 and composed by Ibrahim Al Zoabi, is a woody, spicy patchouli. Wood leads, spice follows strongly, and gourmand sweetness, floral and amber touches add warmth.

The opening is aromatic and spiced: cardamom and nutmeg bring a warm, slightly sweet spice, while cypress and artemisia add a green, herbal and slightly bitter freshness. Saffron gives a leathery, honeyed note that leads into the heart, where Taif rose offers a velvety floral touch. Patchouli then takes centre stage, earthy, dark and dusty, supported by oud for a smoky depth, and cedar and vetiver for dry, rooty woods. Vanilla, tonka bean and amber soften the base into a warm, sweet glow.
