The listed notes build a picture of tea brewed over an open fire. Black tea gives a dry, smoky and tannic note, mint a cool, fresh herbal lift and black pepper a dry prickle. Raspberry adds a tart, juicy sweetness, and magnolia a soft floral touch. Underneath, leather and birch bring a smoky, tar-like richness, incense a resinous smoke, labdanum a sticky, ambery warmth and immortelle a honeyed, slightly curry-like note.
Most wearers report it as long lasting, with a moderate to strong sillage. It is voted for autumn and winter and is worn by day and night. It suits cold weather, creative offices and evenings, and it is worn by anyone who likes smoky tea and leather.
