Red berries and thyme open it, a jammy sweetness against a dry, herbal sharpness. The heart brings plum, dark and ripe, rose, soft and slightly jammy, and immortelle, which adds a warm, maple-syrup-like richness. The base is where the sweetness and wood meet: saffron gives a warm, leathery spice, Australian sandalwood a creamy, smooth woodiness, vanilla a soft sweetness, and ambroxan a clean, mineral, long-lasting amber.
It suits autumn and winter and evening wear. Anyone who likes fruity, spiced woods with a sweet, smooth finish should find it appealing.
