Hysterica

Hysterica is a loud, sweet gourmand with bubble gum, honey and white flowers, composed by Luca Gritti for the Italian house Gritti in 2024 and marketed to women. Sweetness is the leading impression for everyone, spice and florals follow for about two in three wearers, and wood and resin are noticed by a third. Bubble gum and plum set the tone, candy-sweet and fruity, with a liquor note adding a boozy edge. Pepper and white pepper bring a surprising dry heat that cuts through the sugar. Gardenia and tuberose are the floral side, creamy and heady, and honey deepens the sweetness further. The base of vanilla, benzoin and palisander rosewood is warm, resinous and slightly floral-woody, carrying the sweetness to the end.
