Do Son Eau de Toilette by Diptyque, composed by Fabrice Pellegrin in 2005, is a tuberose made light and airy rather than heavy and tropical. It is floral through and through; a minority also find it slightly spicy, musky or resinous.
The opening is soft and fresh: rose and orange flower give a clean, slightly honeyed floral start, and iris adds a cool, powdery, almost watery quality. Tuberose arrives in the heart, creamy and white, but kept sheer, and pink pepper adds a faint, rosy sparkle that stops it feeling thick. The base is nothing more than musk and benzoin, so it ends skin-soft with a gentle, vanilla-like warmth.
Most wearers report moderate longevity and a moderate trail, so it stays fairly close. It is voted mainly for spring and summer and strongly for daytime.
