Lumière d’Issey is a 2026 floral from the Japanese house Issey Miyake, composed by Fabrice Pellegrin and Marie Salamagne and marketed to women. Everyone who describes it calls it floral, and about two thirds also find it woody, musky and citrus.
Green mandarin opens it with a bright, slightly bitter zest. Neroli and orange blossom then give the heart a sunny, honeyed white-floral warmth, and freesia adds a light, peppery freshness. Pistachio is the distinctive touch, a soft, nutty, faintly green creaminess that sits between the flowers and the base. Sandalwood and woods bring a creamy dryness underneath, and white musk keeps the drydown clean and close to the skin.
Light and luminous rather than rich, it suits daytime and warmer months, or any time a fresh, well-mannered floral is wanted. The nutty twist gives it a little more interest than a standard orange-blossom scent.
