Pear and citruses open it with a crisp, juicy freshness. The heart is a full floral: Bulgarian rose gives a rich, slightly honeyed rose, jasmine and ylang-ylang add creamy warmth, hawthorn a sweet, almondy, hedgerow note and heliotrope a soft, powdery, marzipan-like background. The base is where the woods take over, with mahogany and oak giving a dry, polished-furniture quality, Haitian vetiver adding a rooty earthiness and Cambodian oud a dark, smooth depth, all softened by musk.
It is a shared fragrance, worn by anyone. The combination of rose, powder and dark woods suggests evening wear and cooler months, and it suits people who like a classic rose but want it set in a deeper, woodier frame.
