The opening pairs rose and raspberry with cinnamon and cloves, a jammy red fruit wrapped in warm baking spice. The heart deepens with Bulgarian rose and incense, the smoke giving the rose a church-like solemnity, while patchouli adds earth beneath. The base is thick with amber and myrrh, resinous and sweet, with chestnut adding a roasted, nutty warmth that is unusual in a rose scent.
