It opens with bergamot, blackcurrant, ylang-ylang and jasmine over an oak note, so fruit and white flowers sit on a dry wood from the start. The heart is where it becomes unusual: persimmon and honey bring a thick, ripe sweetness, oud a dark resinous depth, iris a powdery coolness, angelica a green herbal edge, and cumin a warm, skin-like spice. The base of patchouli, amber, sandalwood, labdanum and palisander rosewood is warm, earthy and resinous.
