Concentré d'Orange Verte is Hermès's stronger version of its green orange cologne, composed by Jean Guichard and released in 2004. People describe it as woody above all, with about half also finding it aromatic, citrusy and amber-like, so the orange is set in a frame rather than left alone.

Orange leads, but it is a green, slightly bitter orange with the leaf and peel still attached, and basil pushes it further into fresh, herbal territory. What makes the concentrated version different is what comes underneath: cedar adds a dry, clean woodiness, patchouli gives an earthy depth, and a touch of amber warms the finish so it does not simply evaporate like a cologne.

Most wearers report moderate longevity and a moderate to close trail, with a minority finding it weak. It is voted mainly for summer and spring and mostly for daytime, which fits its character: a bright, natural-smelling scent for warm days, worn by anyone who likes citrus with a little more backbone.
