The notes are listed together. Bergamot offers a brief citrus brightness, and geranium a sharp, green rosiness that is the only real floral element. Artemisia adds a bitter, herbal edge. The main event is agarwood paired with teak wood: dark, resinous and dry, with the slightly medicinal character that Montale ouds are known for. Tobacco adds a warm, leafy depth, patchouli an earthy undertone, and amber a soft resinous warmth that rounds off the base.
