Bergamot, orange and lemon open it, bright and juicy, the only sharp moment in the scent. Magnolia and orris root form the heart, the magnolia fresh and lemony, the orris cool, powdery and slightly earthy, which gives the middle a calm, understated elegance. The base is woody notes and white woods for a dry, clean frame, benzoin for a soft, vanilla-like resin, and amber and musk for a warm, skin-like finish.
It reads as a quiet, versatile fragrance for daytime in most weather, suited to someone who likes citrus but wants it to settle into powder and soft wood rather than fade or turn sweet.
