Berlin by Gallivant is a crisp woody citrus with a peppery, green edge, released by the British house in 2017 and composed by Karine Chevallier. It is worn by anyone.
Grapefruit, lemon and clementine open it with a bright, slightly bitter sparkle, sharpened by black pepper. Black tea sits in the middle, tannic and dry, giving the scent a cool, urban character rather than a sunny one. The base is firmly woody: Haitian vetiver brings a clean, earthy, grassy dryness, cedar a pencil-shaving crispness, and patchouli an earthy depth that anchors the citrus for the long haul.
It is a versatile everyday scent, well suited to spring and autumn, offices and city days. Anyone who likes vetiver and tea in a fresh, understated frame should find it a comfortable wear.
