Hypnotic Musk

Hypnotic Musk is a sweet, fruity fragrance from the French house M. Micallef, composed by Thierry Romeo and released in 2025 for women. Everyone who describes it calls it gourmand, about half find it floral, and a minority mention spicy, musky, ambery and citrus sides. Despite the name, musk is the frame rather than the main event.

Lychee and raspberry open it with a juicy, slightly tart fruitiness, and bergamot adds a short citrus lift. Ginger brings a warm, bright spice that cuts through the sweetness. Caramel and vanilla form the dessert-like centre, soft and creamy, while iris and violet add a cool, powdery floral quality that keeps it from becoming cloying. Sandalwood gives a smooth, creamy wood, and ambergris and musk settle the base into a warm, salty, skin-like finish.

It is a soft, comforting fragrance, suited to people who like fruity sweetness wrapped in powder and musk, and it has the warmth for cooler weather and evenings.
