Serpent Bohème

Serpent Bohème is a rose-led floral from the French house Boucheron, composed by Anne Flipo in 2020. Floral is the word everyone uses for it; a good minority add woody and musky, and a few mention sweetness, resin or citrus.

Rose appears in more than one guise here, Turkish rose and desert rose among them, giving a full, slightly jammy flower rather than a thin, dewy one. Jasmine sambac deepens it with a warmer, more sensual floral tone. Black currant and mandarin orange add a tart, fruity brightness that keeps the roses lively, while patchouli and sandalwood lay down an earthy, creamy wood beneath. Labdanum brings a resinous, amber-like warmth, and white musk smooths everything into a soft, clean finish.
