Patchouli d’Angkor

Patchouli d'Angkor from the French house Boucheron, composed by Nathalie Lorson in 2019, is a spicy, musky patchouli. People describe it as spicy, woody and musky in equal measure, with about half also finding it sweet, floral and citrusy.

Bergamot and pear open it bright and lightly fruity, with pepper and bourbon pepper adding a sharp, warm bite. Jasmine sits in the heart, giving the scent a soft floral warmth. Patchouli is the core, earthy, dark and slightly chocolatey, with guaiac wood adding a smoky, dry depth. White musk and musk smooth the base into a clean, close finish.

It is worn by anyone and suits autumn and winter and the evening, for someone who likes patchouli handled cleanly, with pepper and musk rather than heavy sweetness.
