Purple Ruby from the French house Pascal Morabito, composed by Corinne Cachen in 2012, is a sweet, fruity floral for women. Gourmand is the word everyone uses for it; about half also find it floral, and a minority pick up musk.

Strawberry, big strawberry, raspberry and apple open it with a juicy, jammy, sweet-shop fruitiness. The heart is a soft bouquet of peony, gardenia and orange blossom, fresh and creamy, which gives the sweetness a floral frame. The base is where the dessert character takes over: caramel and vanilla bring a smooth, sugary warmth, and musk softens the finish and keeps it close to the skin.

It is marketed as feminine and has a playful, youthful character suited to daytime and casual wear, in spring and summer especially, for someone who likes strawberries and cream with a few petals on top.
