Sugar by Franck Boclet, released in 2017, is an unabashed gourmand, packed with honey, marshmallow and fruit. It is sweet from start to finish, with a soft floral and musky backdrop.
The opening sets the tone with honey, coconut and marshmallow, which give a sticky, creamy and fluffy sweetness, lifted briefly by bergamot. In the heart, peach adds juicy fruit and caramel a toasted sugar note that deepens the dessert character. The base of raspberry, violet and white musk keeps the sweetness going with a soft, powdery and fruity finish that clings to the skin.
Many wearers find it long lasting, and the sillage is reported as strong by most people. It is voted for autumn and winter and, interestingly, mainly for daytime. Worn by anyone, it suits cosy days, casual outings and anyone who loves candy-sweet scents; with this much projection, a light hand is sensible.
