The opening is crisp: apple gives a sweet, juicy freshness and lemon and bergamot a sharp citrus lift. The heart turns softer and more classical, with rose and jasmine forming a smooth floral centre and patchouli adding an earthy, slightly dark note underneath. The base is where it settles for the long haul, with white musk giving a clean, laundry-fresh softness, powdery notes a cosmetic, slightly sweet finish and amber a gentle warmth.
Despite its soft character it performs strongly: most wearers report it as lasting almost indefinitely or long lasting, and most find the sillage strong or enormous. It is voted for autumn and winter and slightly more for evenings, suiting cool weather and anyone who wants a clean musk that does not disappear.
