Lumination

Lumination is fresh above all, with green, woody, musky, ambery and citrus sides each noticed by about half of wearers. Louis Cardin released it in 2016 as a masculine fragrance.

Bergamot gives a brisk citrus opening, and sea water with sea notes sets the aquatic tone: cool, clean, slightly salty. There is no floral heart to speak of; instead the scent moves fairly directly to a base of oakmoss and patchouli, which bring a dry, earthy, mossy depth, warmed by amber and smoothed by musk. The contrast between the marine top and the mossy base is what gives it its character.

Nobody has reported on longevity or sillage yet. A citrus-aquatic with a mossy base is a classic summer daytime structure, suited to work and hot weather, and to a man who wants fresh without being thin or fleeting. It is sold in a 100 ml bottle.
