Credible Noir

Credible Noir from Louis Cardin is a floral masculine scent with a leathery, fresh edge. Everyone who has described it calls it floral, and about half also find it woody, musky, fresh, leathery and citrusy, which suggests a blend that does not settle into one category.

The notes are given as a single list. Bergamot, melon and red berries open on a fresh, slightly sweet fruitiness; rose and other floral notes carry the middle; and leather, patchouli, vanilla and musk form a darker, warmer base, with vanilla taking some of the bite out of the leather. The contrast between watery melon and leather is what gives the scent its character.

No one has yet reported on how long it lasts or how far it projects. A fruity floral over leather of this kind is flexible enough for most seasons, leaning towards evening when the base shows, and suits a man who is comfortable wearing rose and berries. It is sold in a 100 ml size.
