Arancia Rossa by Laboratorio Olfattivo, composed by Jean-Claude Ellena in 2022 and worn by anyone, is a blood orange laid over musk. Musk is what everyone agrees on; about half also describe it as sweet, floral and citrusy, which is a fair summary of the five notes it contains.

Blood orange is the heart of it, juicy and a little tart with the slight bitterness of peel, and passionfruit adds a tangy, tropical sweetness beside it. Orange blossom brings the floral side, honeyed and faintly green, linking the fruit to the base. White musk and musk do the rest, giving the scent a clean, soft, skin-like warmth that carries the orange long after the brightness of the opening has faded.

The composition is spare in the way Ellena's work usually is: a few notes, clearly drawn, with nothing heavy underneath. It reads as a fresh, slightly sweet scent for warm weather and daytime, suited to someone who likes citrus but wants it soft and musky rather than sharp and cologne-like.
