C from the French house Courrèges, composed by Suzy Le Helley in 2021, is a minimalist floral built on three elements. People describe it as floral and warm with amber in equal measure.

Jasmine provides the floral heart, warm, slightly sweet and sunny, but kept transparent rather than heady. A fabric note gives it a clean, soft, slightly starchy quality, like freshly laundered cotton, which is unusual and gives the scent its character. Ambroxan underneath adds a warm, dry, mineral, slightly salty glow that lifts the jasmine, gives it staying power and explains why people find the scent ambery as well as floral.

It is worn by anyone and suits everyday wear in any season, by day especially, for someone who likes clean, understated scents that smell of jasmine and fresh linen rather than of perfume.
