Bad Boy Extreme is a darker, resinous take from Carolina Herrera, released in 2022 for men and composed by Quentin Bisch, Yann Vasnier and Louise Turner. Everyone describes it as gourmand, woody and amber together; about two thirds also find it spicy and resinous, and a third citrus. The notes are given as one blend rather than a pyramid.
Ginger and bergamot provide a short, bright, spicy lift, with plum adding a dark, ripe fruit. The body of the scent is cocoa and cacao pod, a dry, bitter chocolate rather than a sweet one, wrapped in a thick layer of resins: frankincense brings smoke, opoponax a sweet, balsamic warmth and labdanum a sticky, leathery depth. Tonka bean smooths it into sweetness, while patchouli, vetiver and clary sage keep an earthy, herbal dryness underneath.
Most wearers find it long lasting, and more than a quarter call it eternal; the trail is strong. It is voted for winter and autumn, and strongly for night. It suits cold evenings and anyone who prefers their chocolate dark and smoky.
