CH Men Sport is a fresh woody citrus from Carolina Herrera, released in 2012 for men. Everyone describes it as woody and citrus, and about half also as spicy, green, fresh and aromatic, which reflects a clean, outdoorsy character with a little more depth than the sport label suggests.
Grapefruit and bergamot open it with sage, so the first stage is sharp, slightly bitter citrus with a herbal edge. The heart brings sea notes, juniper and Sichuan pepper, a cool, salty freshness with a dry, gin-like crispness and a tingling spice. The base is vetiver, oakmoss and sandalwood, which gives it a dry, earthy, mossy finish rather than a sweet one.
About half of wearers find it long lasting and most of the rest moderate, and nearly three quarters describe projection as moderate. It is voted for summer and spring and overwhelmingly for daytime. It suits the gym, the office and warm-weather days generally, for someone who wants a fresh scent with a woody backbone rather than a purely aquatic one.
