Star anise and juniper berries open it with a liquorice-and-gin coolness, jackfruit adds an odd, sweet tropical touch, and wormwood a bitter, herbal edge. The heart is where the character lies: tobacco and coffee give a dry, roasted warmth and suede a soft leather. The base is oak and Virginia cedar, dry and slightly earthy.
Most wearers find the longevity weak, and more than a third very weak, with an intimate sillage for the great majority, so it sits very close to the skin and fades within hours. Summer and spring lead the seasonal votes and it is largely worn by day. It suits anyone curious about tobacco and coffee notes in a light, daytime form, with the caveat that it will need reapplying.
