It opens with lemon and lemon verbena, a bright, slightly green citrus that is sharper than it is sweet. The heart moves straight into baked spice: cinnamon brings a warm, sweet heat and nutmeg a drier, nuttier spice, which together give the scent a mulled, slightly old-fashioned character. The base is vanilla and dry woods, so the finish is soft, creamy and gently sweet, with the spices still present over it.
