L'Eau Pour Homme from the Spanish house Armand Basi, composed by Francis Kurkdjian and released in 2010, is a spicy, woody men's fragrance with a green streak. Spice and wood are what everyone notices; about half also find it green and citrusy.

Bergamot opens it bright and slightly bitter, and cardamom and nutmeg quickly add a warm, dry spiciness that gives the scent its character. Bamboo brings a cool, green, slightly watery freshness to the middle, and cypress a resinous, coniferous dryness. Patchouli underneath provides an earthy, grounded base.

It is marketed as masculine and has the feel of a clean, understated office scent: spicy enough to be noticed, green enough to stay fresh, and without any heavy sweetness. It works across most of the year and will suit someone who prefers quiet precision to projection.
