Heritage Eau de Parfum by Guerlain, created by Jean-Paul Guerlain in 1992, is a classic floral-aromatic masculine with spicy, green and woody facets. Flowers lead, with spice, greenery, wood, amber and citrus in support.

The opening is a traditional fougère-style mix: bergamot, lemon and petitgrain give a bright citrus start, while lavender and clary sage add herbal, slightly soapy freshness. The large heart brings carnation for a clove-like spice, orris root for powder, rose and jasmine for floral smoothness, and patchouli and pepper for depth. The base is warm and mossy, with oakmoss adding a damp, forest-floor greenness over amber, musk, cedar and sandalwood.

Most wearers report long longevity and a moderate trail. It is voted mainly for autumn and winter, and equally for day and evening. Heritage suits someone who appreciates the old-school gentleman's style, for suits, formal dinners and cool-weather days where a refined, layered composition is welcome.
