Xandria

Xandria is a boozy, spiced woody scent from the British house Ormonde Jayne, released in 2020 and worn by anyone. Everyone who describes it calls it woody, two thirds add spicy and gourmand, and a third notice musky and amber sides.

Apple and rum open it, the apple crisp and slightly tart, the rum warm and sweet, so the first impression is something like a spiced cider. Ceylon cinnamon follows with a sweet, lively heat. The heart is woody: oud for dark smokiness, guaiac wood for a resinous, slightly tarry warmth, and palisander rosewood for a soft, faintly floral woodiness, with earthy notes adding a damp, mineral depth. Tonka bean, amber and musk close the base with a smooth, hay-like sweetness.

There are no community reports yet on how long it lasts or how far it projects. Rum, cinnamon and oud suggest cold weather and evenings, and suit people who like warm, sweet-spiced woods with some depth.
