Vento Ardente

Vento Ardente is a spicy, leathery floral from Brunello Cucinelli, composed by Jordi Fernández and released in 2024. Floral is the word everyone uses; about two thirds also find it spicy, and a third woody, ambery or leathery.

Cinnamon and saffron set a warm, dry, slightly leathery spice at the start. The heart is built around Turkish rose, full and slightly jammy, with osmanthus adding its distinctive apricot-and-suede quality and French marigold a bitter, green, slightly herbal sharpness. Cypriol brings a smoky, earthy, leather-like depth, and leather itself adds a smooth, warm richness. Patchouli gives the base an earthy foundation, amyris a soft, slightly sweet woodiness, and amber a lasting warmth.

Vento Ardente is worn by anyone. Its warm, spiced character points to autumn and winter and to evenings, and it should appeal to someone who likes rose in a dark, leathery, spiced form rather than a fresh one.
