The opening is fruity and spiced: bergamot, apple, mango and fig give juicy freshness, while tamarind adds a tangy edge, cardamom a cool spice and clary sage a green herb. The heart moves into a café: cocoa, dates and burnt sugar bring roasted, caramelised sweetness, and tobacco a dry, honeyed warmth. The base is smoky and resinous, with birch tar and cade oil for a campfire smoke, labdanum and Peru balsam for warm resin, and vanilla and tonka bean for softness.
It is shared and can be worn by anyone. Café Tabac suits autumn and winter evenings, and should appeal to people who enjoy smoky, sweet tobacco scents with plenty of character.
